Switching from Powered Now.
Step by step.

Your customers come with you. Here is exactly how.

Powered Now has an Export Contacts button that saves your customers as a CSV file, and GASpilot imports CSV files. So the move is two parts: export your customers from Powered Now, then import the file into GASpilot.

Part 1 — export your customers from Powered Now

  1. In Powered Now, open Contacts.
  2. Tap Export Contacts.
  3. When it asks which contacts, choose Customer. (Suppliers aren't needed in GASpilot.)
  4. Powered Now makes a CSV file. Save it somewhere you can find it, or email it to yourself so you can open it on the device you use for GASpilot.
Can't see the button? Powered Now's help centre has the article "How do I export my contacts?". If your screens look different, their support team can point you to it.
Want the inspection reminders to carry on? Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets and add a column called Next due with each customer's next gas safety check date. GASpilot turns those dates into upcoming jobs and reminders. You can skip this and add dates later.

Part 2 — import the file into GASpilot

  1. Sign in to GASpilot and tap Settings.
  2. Open Import customers from another app (CSV or phone contacts).
  3. Tap the file button and choose the CSV file from Powered Now.
  4. The mapping screen opens with the columns matched from their headings: Name, Company, Phone, Email, Address, Notes and Next due. Check each one, because Powered Now names some columns its own way: if a box shows the wrong column, pick the right one from the list. Set anything you don't want to — skip —. The three-row preview shows exactly what will come in.
  5. Tap Import N customers.
  6. Read the summary: customers added, inspection dates carried over, and anyone already in your app, who is skipped so there are no duplicates.
  7. Wrong file or wrong column? Tap Undo this import on that summary and everything it added is removed. Fix it and import again.

What you'll have afterwards

Every customer, ready to pick

Name, company, phone, email, address and notes. They fill in new certificates, invoices and quotes for you.

Reminders from the due dates

Any Next due date in your file becomes an upcoming job, so your customers are reminded on time.

Old certificates and job sheets

These stay in Powered Now. Download or save the PDFs you need to keep before your Powered Now subscription ends. GASpilot starts issuing from your first new certificate, and next year you can duplicate it.

Invoice history

Past invoices and payments stay in Powered Now and your accounting software. Keep copies for your accountant before you cancel.
